Welcome to Almondella! I’m Dr. Altai, and for over two decades, my life has revolved around the intricate workings of the human heart. As a cardiovascular surgeon, I’ve witnessed firsthand the profound impact of diet on heart health, seeing both the challenges and the triumphs that good nutrition can bring. My days were spent in the operating room, mending hearts and restoring lives. But outside of surgery, a different kind of passion began to beat: the desire to prevent the very conditions I was treating.
This passion led me on a journey, one that moved from the precise, demanding world of surgery to the creative, health-focused realm of culinary innovation. I realized that while I could repair damaged hearts, I could also empower people to protect their hearts through delicious, wholesome food choices. The inspiration for our signature Almond Cacao Spread was born from this realization.
